OUR PROGRAMS
AMSIN delivers a suite of integrated programs designed to bridge healthcare gaps, build capacity, and empower communities across Africa.
MEDICAL MISSIONS & OUTREACHES
Free, comprehensive medical camps in underserved communities, emergency zones, fragile and conflict
settings across Africa. Volunteer doctors, nurses, clinicians, and allied health professionals provide
consultations, minor surgeries, screenings, medicines, and community health education.
MENTORSHIP & PRECEPTORSHIP FOR HEALTH WORKERS
Experienced and specialist healthcare professionals are paired with emerging health workers across partner
hospitals and facilities in Africa. Mentees are trained, supervised, and mentored to develop clinical skills and
deepen expertise in real clinical settings.
INTERNATIONAL VOLUNTEERISM & SERVICE
Healthcare volunteers are attached to hospitals, clinics, and health facilities across Africa to offer
professional services, gain more experience, and enjoy cultural exchange opportunities. AMSIN fully
supports cross-border logistics and processes for a seamless volunteering experience.
LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT FOR HEALTH WORKERS & AFRICAN YOUTH
A dynamic learning experience equipping professionals and students with leadership skills at every career
stage. The program includes AMSIN Chapters established in universities, colleges, and secondary schools
across Africa, where members connect monthly to Learn, Empower, Network, and Develop (LEND
ANNUAL AFRICAN HEALTH CONFERENCES
A continental event bringing together experts, policymakers, development partners, investors, and leaders
from science, government, and civil society to share research, drive policy, and create solutions for a
healthier and sustainable Africa — with focus on health, nutrition, climate change, and technology/innovation.
REFUGEE COMMUNITY HEALTH CAPTAINS (RCHC)
Frontline public health advocates and peer-leaders drawn directly from displaced or migrant refugee
communities are identified and trained to bridge the gap between refugees’ health care needs and local
healthcare systems. RCHCs provide culturally sensitive health education, translation services, and
connect vulnerable individuals with essential medical care across Africa.
ANNUAL FUNDRAISING CONCERTS, WALKS & RUNS TO SAVE LIVES
A unique annual charity event hosting thousands of participants across different African countries and
cities in Wellness Walks and Runs to raise funds for medicines, diagnostic kits, and to facilitate treatment and
minor surgeries for underprivileged people in African communities — including children, women, the elderly,
refugees, and Internally Displaced People (IDPs).
REHABILITATION, CONSTRUCTION & RENOVATION OF MEDICAL FACILITY WARDS.
African Medical Samaritans International Network (AMSIN) in partnership with Local communities, Local governments, Religious and cultural institutions and other partners work together to mobilize resources and expertise from around the world to support infrastructure development projects to support children and women access decent healthcare.
Activities including
- Minor Renovations & Painting of children and female Wards and sometimes entire medical facility.
- Construction of Children Wards and Maternity Wards where they don’t exist at all and the need is Very evident.
Currently African medical Samaritans International Network (AMSIN) in partnership with the community of Butaleja District we are constructing a Children’s Ward at Nabiganda Health IV in Butaleja District to improve access to healthcare of Children across the district and neighbouring Districts. This is a 20+ beds Children’s ward with 4 extra big rooms for treatment, medical examination and staff resting section with 2 inside toilets and bathrooms.
The building has reached the Beam level as seen in the photo and we continue to call up support and donations to complete the project by 2029.
